Using the Assistance Button
Press the Assistance button on the Smart Hub 2.
When prompted, say “Emergency” or press the Accept button to confirm your request.
The Smart Hub 2 will connect you with the Aloe Care Response Team.
Using Voice Activation
Say “Emergency” repeatedly until the Smart Hub’s voice assistant responds and the ring light begins blinking blue.
Once activated, say “Emergency” again to confirm that you need assistance.
The Smart Hub 2 will connect you with the Aloe Care Response Team.
If you confirm your emergency or do not say anything, the Smart Hub’s ring light will turn solid blue, and you will be connected to the Response Team. To cancel an assistance request, follow the voice instructions or press the Deny button.
The sensitivity and number of times “Emergency” must be said can be adjusted in the Caregiver App.
What happens when I connect?
You have 24/7 access to Aloe Care’s Five Diamond-certified Emergency Response Team. You will be connected with a trained response specialist, not directly with 911. The specialist can communicate with you through the Smart Hub’s two-way call, assess the situation, and coordinate an appropriate response, including contacting caregivers, family members, or emergency services when needed.
