The standard Aloe Care Total Care bundle has 4 motion sensors: 1 on the Hub, 1 on the Fall Sensor and 2 separate Motion Sensors to be placed in separate rooms from the other Hardware. The motion sensors offer caregivers the ability to recognize, at-a-glance, that the person they are caring for is moving around.
How it works
Your motion sensor detects movement based on changes to temperature and surface characteristics of the objects in front of it. When it detects a person passing in front of a surface such as a wall, the temperature in the sensor’s field of vision will rise from room temperature to body temperature and back to room temperature again. This is how movement is detected
Please note: Objects of similar temperature, but different surface characteristics may also trigger the motion sensor. Triggers include, but are not limited to, dust, AC units, heaters, or motion detected through windows. We recommend not placing the motion sensors by AC units, heaters, or near windows.
