No. The Aloe Care Health Caregiver App is not required to set up, own, or operate a Smart Hub 2.
If you are setting up the Smart Hub 2 for yourself, plug it into an electrical outlet and wait for the ring light to pulse orange. Press the black center button while the Smart Hub 2 connects and follow the voice prompts. The ring light will turn solid orange during setup and solid white when setup is successful.
If you are a caregiver setting up the Smart Hub 2 for someone else, download the Aloe Care Health app and follow the in-app setup instructions. The primary caregiver who ordered the Smart System and established the account and billing must be present to complete setup through the app.
