For the best experience with your Smart Hub 2, place it in the room where you or your loved one spends the majority of their time.
Choose a flat surface, such as a counter or side table, that is approximately 3–4 feet high.
When positioning your Smart Hub 2:
Make sure the two motion sensors on the front of the Smart Hub face into the room.
Keep the area around the front and sides of the Smart Hub clear of objects that could block motion detection.
Avoid placing the Smart Hub near a TV or speaker.
Avoid placing it near water fixtures or heating and cooling elements.
Do not place it under a window or in direct sunlight.
Make sure the electrical outlet you use is not controlled by a wall switch to help prevent accidental power interruptions.
Once you have selected a location, insert the power cord into the port on the bottom of the Smart Hub and plug it into a nearby electrical outlet.
The Smart Hub will automatically power on. When the ring light begins pulsing orange, the device is in setup mode and is ready to be set up.
