If you're having problems setting up your Smart Hub on your iPhone it can very well be your phone's settings not allowing us to connect.
Follow the prompts in the app and from the hub, but if you repeatedly see a message about like There was an issue with your device. Please make sure it’s plugged in correctly. follow the steps below before you try again.
Why do you need to use Bluetooth?
We use Bluetooth to securely exchange information between the Smart Hub and the phone so you can get online, this includes letting you provide your WiFi name and password if required.
Note: you can always finish setup without WiFi if you have AT&T coverage by simply pressing the center button when prompted.
Step 1:
Make sure your quick settings for Bluetooth is turned on (red circle), this allows your phone to make new connections. New connections is enabled when it has a blue background like seen here.
Step 2:
A connection might be stuck, to fix this turn Bluetooth off and back on from Settings -> Bluetooth. If you see Allow New Connections it's important that you click this.
Step 3:
Make sure that AloeCare is allowed to access Bluetooth, you find this setting under Settings -> Aloe Care (in the last section).
Step 4:
If you're still having issues, some problems can only be resolved by restarting your phone. If this does not help you can always try setting up using someone else's phone.
