Request Assistance
There are 2 ways that assistance can be requested using just the Smart Hub:
- Voice-Activated: Say, “Emergency” repeatedly until the voice assistance responds.
- Button-Activated: If unable to speak, press the Assistance button in the center of the Smart Hub.
For more detail about how you can request assistance, please see How do I request help on the Smart Hub in an Emergency?
Test the Assistant
Use the following script to let the Response Team know you’re running a test:
“Hi, this is [your name]. I was testing my Aloe Care Smart Hub. I do not need medical assistance.”
A Response Team expert will confirm your name and address before ending the call.
Caregiver Check-In’s
Check in with your loved one by initiating a Check-in call from the Aloe Care Health app into the Smart Hub.
Tap the checkmark icon at the bottom of the home screen and select the Smart Hub to start the Check-In. After the call is complete, you can hang up within the app, which will also disconnect the call on the Smart Hub automatically. Additionally, Care Recipients can end a Check-In call by pressing the "X" button on the Smart Hub.
Tip: After a Check-In, add a note to provide a status update to other caregivers about how the independent adult is doing.
