There are 2 ways that assistance can be requested using just the Smart Hub:
- Voice-Activated: Say, “Emergency” repeatedly until the voice assistance responds.
- Button-Activated: If unable to speak, press the Assistance button in the center of the Smart Hub.
For more detail about how you can request assistance, please see How do I request help on the Smart Hub in an Emergency?
Test the Assistant
Use the following script to let the Response Team know you’re running a test:
“Hi, this is [your name]. I was testing my Aloe Care Smart Hub. I do not need medical assistance.”
A Response Team expert will confirm your name and address before ending the call.
Check in with your loved one by initiating a Check-in call from the CVS Symphony app into the Smart Hub.
Tap the checkmark icon at the bottom of the home screen and select the Smart Hub to start the Check-In. Once the call is complete, you can hang up in-app, which will automatically hang up on the Smart Hub as well.
Tip: After a Check-In, add a note to provide a status update to other caregivers about how the independent adult is doing.
